To Infinity... and Beyond

I would like to introduce you to the most important man in my life. May I present to you... today only... to the one that changed everything... My HUSBAND!!!

This man has completely changed me. He makes my life an adventure everyday, he makes me laugh like nobody else, he grosses me out unlike anyone else too, he helps keep me centered and remember that the Lord has everything in control, and he is the first thing I get to see every morning. I may have rose colored glasses on... or... it may just be destiny for our life but I love every single second with him.

This weekend marks the first time we are away from each other for more than a couple days. Since meeting in March 2011 we have not spent more than two days away from each other (what can I say, we are crazy about each other). I left the house today and, as sad as it is, will not see him again until Sunday for dinner.

Tomorrow is our 5 month anniversay. Sure, we never really do anything for the month to month stuff but at least we are together. This mile marker will be spent apart. Does absence really make the heart grow fonder, I guess there is no time like the present to find out.

So here is to you... my sweet sweet hunk of a husband! May we have many, many more five month anniversaries. I love you with all of my heart, to pluto and back!

Feathered Neighbors

Is it just me or do you, also, find yourself searching the trees for nests in the spring time? And how high does your heart jump for joy when you have finally spotted one?
I love spring time for that exact reason... when I get a sneak peak into new life starting. It is at those moments that I am reminded of life past my own and how God shaped all life in special ways.

This mother is just like mother's of our world, she protects those precious eggs with everything. She sits on them almost all day, not ever straying too far from her children. How spectacular is it to see such a resemblance to our own culture?!?!
Guess where this precious gem decided to start her family? Known other than directly outside my bedroom window. That's right... I rise to her chirping and get to watch her all day long, or.. maybe she is watching me. Either way I dont mind getting to be a witness to this glorious miracle of nurturing new life. What could be better than that... I think nothing!

Pure Beauty

Here we go... the inspiration for this piece came from my time in West Palm Beach as a college student. That was a place that I saw the Lord's beauty day after day. I would frequently find myself going to the beach (just one mile away... I know... what the life huh?) to see the world wake in the morning and go to sleep at night. It was these times that I saw the most pure form of beauty. I captured in a picture and for so many years wanted so desperately to capture it in a painting. A few months ago the Lord put it on my heart to just go with it, to trust in the talent He gave me and put brush to canvas and paint. He was with me throughout the whole two month process of completing His masterpiece.

Lesson- don't let your own discouragment keep you from fulfilling His will for your talent, He knows you better than you do.
