Has it really been a year?

Time flies when you are with the one you love!
I am surely no Hallmark card writer but I know what my heart feels, can't help if it sounds like a card. <3
My heart is filled with so much love for my Mr. Handsome that I can hardly hold it in sometimes. The day we said "I do" was just the beginning of a spectacular life together. We have shared our hearts, moved three times, preparing for a growing family, struggled through financial issues, grown closer to the Lord together and separately, and laughed tons! Who knew so much could happen in just one year?

"I do". Those were the two best words I have ever heard from you, my warrior. You made my dreams come true that day and continue to do so each and everyday since. You are the man I prayed for and have always dreamt of. What addiction did you have???

I think it is safe for me to outwardly admit to all of you that this pregnancy I have had a slight exceptional (ok maybe a little more than a slight) addiction with Starbucks. It's really a love/hate relationship. My taste buds LOVE it but my waistline HATES it (the waistline not from little Paysen).
I have even begun to work towards becoming a Gold Card Member! Who am I? Oh wait... I know... silly me. I am becoming my mom!

Guess that's not so bad right? She is a pretty wonderful person to take after!

Here is to our addiction Mom and may Paysen not come out screaming for Starbucks!!!

With my growing family I am wanting to create Thanksgiving/Christmas traditions that will last forever and be something we all look forward to. I have dug through all sorts of traditions online but nothing has JUMPED out at me yet, this is where you guys come in. ²⁸ “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. ³⁰ For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

What better place to leave your worries behind than the beach? I know that whenever I get a chance to be in awe of God's vastness, at the beach, I feel at rest. Don't think you have to do it ALL yourself. You have a Heavenly Father that is ready and waiting for you to come to Him, take advantage of that.

This time of year can cause stress on some of you, but don't let it. This is a season of thankfulness for ALL that we are blessed with, and it all comes from God. He wants nothing more than for you to come to Him when times start to get stressful and you feel like you have nobody else to lean on.

Just like a father holds up his child... all the more our Heavenly Father holds us up!

Giveaway contest!!!

There is no doubt that we all love giveaways!

It is the time of year that ideas run wild through my head of gifts for friends and family. One of my absolute favorite things to do is give gifts! Through this thought process, it dawned on me that YOU ALL are my friends/family too and deserve a gift as well! Would you agree?... Thought you would.

Being that I am not the next, up and coming, Donald Trump I can not afford to gift each and every one of you (no matter how much I would LOVE TO). My Mr. Handsome would undoubtedly have a heart attack if I did.

Gluten Free Ciabatta like never before!!!

If you are anything like me I LOVE a good sandwich! The problem with that is that gets hard to accomplish when you have to eat Gluten Free. Most "bread" items can be compared to paper, cardboard, rocks... I think you get the picture.

Well... that was until I discovered these DELECTABLE Ciabatta rolls!!!

I urge you to run out, sometime soon, and get your hands on a package of these! Dress it up and toast it up however your heart desires, your taste buds will have a party!

God of this City!!!

 

 

Today I strongly encourage you to watch, and listen, to the powerful video of "God of this City" by Chris Tomlin (originally by Bluetree). If you have never heard it before prepare to have your heart opened.

No matter what happens in our government system we need to not forget WHO is the Master of it ALL! We need to remember that nothing happens without His hands molding it to be.

HE IS the God of this city, and every city around the world! He will not turn His back on us... it is crucial you DON'T forget that.

Two on Tuesday!

I can not help but give you a sneak at the mobile I made for sweet Paysen!
With each new decorating adventure in the nursery I continue to try my hardest to bring a bit of my babies daddy into the nursery (you know... to give him a sense of having a part of it, especially since its a boy's nursery). I think I have succeeded with flying colors on this one!

My Mr. Handsome is into cyclying (and would love if our little Paysen came out of the womb on a7 bike) so what better use of a rim than as a baby mobile! (idea found on Pinterest... of course) I gave him options of things to hang from mobile... pin wheels and airplanes are what he chose.

Now let me teach you how I made the pin wheels, it is quite simple!

For this demonstration I cut a 5x5 square (used 7 and 8 inch squares in mobile)

Measure from corner to corner and cut to just before half... making sure to leave a space in the middle (as seen below)

Take your glossy accents and squeeze just a dab in the center of square, bring one corner to the dot and hold until stuck.

Continue with putting a dab of Glossy Accents with each corner until it looks like this!

Make small hole for string to hang through and thread the string, tie a knot to fasten

VOILA! You did it... you can adhere anything you want to the center of the pin wheel.

That was simple right??? I want to make them for ALL occasions! They add such fun and cuteness to everything, and they are super fast to make.
For what occasions and rooms would you use pin wheels as an accent???

BEST...YARD SALE...EVER!!!

Have you ever had the best yard sale day EVER but nobody to appreciate the spectacular deals you got??? My mom and I had one of those days this past weekend. Just look at the most remarkable finds we got our hands on!

"Merry Go Round" that still worked and played music! $5

Can a day get any better once you find gems like these? I think NOT! All three of these vintage toys at a grand total of.... $30!!! That's a steal if I do say so myself!

When life gives you lemons...be creative with them!

Go after each and every one of your dreams like an animal goes for food in the wild.
I am daring you to have the confidence to release the animal inside of you... I know it's in there just waiting for a chance to be unleashed!

Mama Bear has come out and is not taking no for an answer, she WILL sell her art if it takes all she has and NOBODY will stand in her way!

After finding my "inner animal" I was not about to let my last art show get me down. God gave me a gift and, by golly, I am going to share it with the world... no matter what!
